Erin Cummings gained international visibility in her role as “Sura,” the wife of “Spartacus” in the Starz hit series, Spartacus: Blood and Sand and in her starring turn in the cult grindhouse feature, Bitch Slap, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and has now been released in every worldwide territory.

A graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Journalism, Cummings began her professional acting career when she was spotted by an L.A. talent scout while performing in community theater near Dallas.  She furthered her acting education at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where she specialized in Shakespearean Studies.

Most recently seen in the new ABC series Pan Am as “Ginny Saddler,” the mistress to Pan Am VP who begins a dalliance with the Captain, she was also series regular on ABC’s Detroit 187. She had a recurring role on Season 4 of the Emmy-winning AMC series, Mad Men and starred in the FOX webisode series, The Ropes, which was written, directed and produced by Vin Diesel about his life as a bouncer in New York City. In addition to her role as an investigative journalist in the indie horror film Dark House, she was also seen alongside Martin Lawrence in Universal Studios’ Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. On TV, Cummings was a series regular on the second season of Dante's Cove. Her other television work includes a guest lead turn on Cold Case, a recurring role on Dollhouse, and guest appearances on Star Trek: Enterprise, Threshold, Charmed and Nip/Tuck.

Erin currently resides in Los Angeles, but frequently returns to Detroit for her charity work. In November 2010, Erin founded Mittens For Detroit, a community initiative in which she collected and distributed 9,500 pairs of gloves to in-need children, seniors, veterans and families in Detroit during the winter. MFD has now become a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity and aims to double that collection amount in 2011.
